In addition to the important work around the globe accomplished through Rotary International, The Rotary Club of Crook County works hard to support the local community. We further education through our Crook County Scholarship program, participate in the Dictionary Project that provides dictionaries to young learners, and lend a helping hand to projects in our community through our Local Community Grant program. You’ll also catch our members rolling up their sleeves to assist in events and projects throughout the community, including assisting with Christmas in the Pines, flipping pancakes with the Lions Club, building fence at the bike park and picking up shovels to help landscape a local relief nursery.
Internationally, we host an international Rotary exchange student and send a student to another country each year through Rotary International Youth Exchange Program. We promote local student leadership through the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA). This is a leadership development program run by Rotary includes presentations, activities, and workshops that cover a variety of topics, including: leadership fundamentals/ethics, communication skills, problem solving/conflict management, and community/global citizenship.
